They met while performing on Broadway in The Phantom of the Opera; and
recently Westport husband and wife Kevin Gray and Dodie Pettit took part
in a celebration which paid tribute to the production’s newest
title – “longest running show on Broadway.”
Cast members, celebrities and such notables as Andrew Lloyd Webber,
Harold Prince, John Lithgow, and several “Phantoms,” attended
the event held at the Mahestic Theatre in New York.
Dodie, and original cast member, has played nine riles in the show.
Gray, a Staples High School graduate, is one of only eleven actors to
hold the title role of Phantom since the show’s start.
The celebration included a one-night-only on-stage presentation and
a private masked ball at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel.
